Every Family Deserves a Well-Built Home
At My Barndo Plans, we started with a simple belief: building a home should be clear, efficient, and engineered to last. It shouldn’t be complicated, overpriced, or full of guesswork.
We’re not salespeople. We’re builders, erectors, architects, engineers, and operators who have spent decades in the field. When you talk to us, you’re talking to people who have poured concrete, erected steel, set panels, and handed over keys.
We design homes the way we build companies — with strong systems, disciplined execution, and attention to detail. Our plans are architect-driven, our kits are engineered, and our process is built around transparency.
Honest pricing. Smart design. Homes that hold their value.
That’s the standard.
Meet Your Barndominium Team
Paul Murphy joined the team in 2024 and has quickly become an essential part of helping barndo dreams come true. He’s passionate about guiding clients through the build process with clarity, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to see every project succeed.
Family is everything to Paul — he’s a devoted dad to five daughters, and that same commitment to family shows up in how he works with customers: patiently listening, offering clear guidance, and helping people turn their vision into reality.
Whether he’s walking clients through design choices or cheering on progress in the field, Paul’s focus is always on making the building experience rewarding and exciting for everyone involved.
Dennis grew up building homes and brings decades of hands-on construction experience to his role as Senior Build Advisor at Home Plans LLC. Before entering the Fortune 500 world, Dennis was immersed in residential construction, learning the business from the ground up.
After years leading teams and driving growth inside large, high-performance organizations, he now applies that same structure, discipline, and strategic thinking back to home building.
Dennis bridges the gap between field experience and corporate-level operational excellence, helping clients and teams navigate projects with clarity, confidence, and practical know-how. His focus is simple: plan it right, execute it well, and build it to last.
Stonie brings firsthand industry experience and genuine care to her role as Office Intake Coordinator. Early in her career, she worked in steel construction for agricultural buildings, gaining hands-on exposure to structural systems, materials, and the fundamentals of metal building construction.
Today, Stonie is often the first point of contact for families beginning their barndominium journey. She helps clients navigate the early planning stages, answers foundational questions, and connects them with the right specialists to ensure a smooth start. Her goal is simple: make sure every family feels heard, informed, and confident about their next steps.
As a woman of faith and proud mother of two, Stonie understands that building a home is about more than square footage. She is passionate about helping families take the first step toward creating a space where memories will be made for generations.
A former owner of his own steel erecting company, he joined My Barndo Plans after building more than 50 Red Iron barndominiums across the region. He oversees all steel building specifications, kit coordination, and erection quality standards—ensuring every structure goes up safely, plumb, and precisely. He has seen every mistake in the field and built the systems to prevent them.
A licensed custom home builder with three decades in the field, he leads all operations and oversees our SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) construction division. He’s managed builds from foundation to finish, and brings unmatched attention to structural integrity, timeline, and budget discipline. When you buy a SIPs home from us, he’s personally accountable for it.

Melissa specializes in interior design and architectural documentation for custom barndominiums. She has worked alongside 81 families to refine and perfect their floor plans, helping turn early concepts into thoughtfully designed, build-ready homes.
Melissa understands that great barndominium design isn’t just about square footage, it’s about how a family lives inside the space. From kitchen flow and storage planning to finish coordination and layout optimization, she brings both technical precision and design instinct to every project.
Her strength is taking complex ideas and turning them into clear, coordinated plans that are ready for engineering and construction. Detail-oriented and highly organized, Melissa ensures each home reflects the client’s vision while staying practical, efficient, and buildable.
David brings deep experience in architectural and construction documentation, supporting projects across Florida and Texas with fully coordinated drawing sets for both new construction and renovations. His work spans multifamily, commercial, residential, and utility infrastructure projects, giving him a practical understanding of how different building systems come together in the field.
Having worked with multiple firms and consultants, David understands regional code requirements, varying production standards, and what it takes to produce clear, buildable plans. He approaches every project with precision and discipline, focusing on structural coordination, smart detailing, and real-world constructability.
His guiding principle is simple: deliver accurate, well-organized drawings that make permitting smoother, reduce field conflicts, and help projects move efficiently from concept to completion.
An entrepreneur, operator, and builder with a track record of starting, scaling, and exiting successful companies across construction, manufacturing, and technology.
Over his career, he has founded and led multiple businesses, including a highly successful flat glass company in the Dallas–Fort Worth area that he built and sold. He has also been part of the leadership team that took a company public, giving him firsthand experience in growth, governance, and scaling operations at a national level.
Today, William focuses on modernizing residential construction. Through his work in engineered home plans and prefab building systems, he is helping bring manufacturing discipline, strong engineering, and operational efficiency to an industry that needs it.
He believes good homes and good companies are built the same way: with integrity, clear systems, and relentless execution.
Our Bonds of Performance
Every business is like a good person—it has values and bonds that drive everyday decisions. We guide our company by these bonds, and when we make management calls, we ask: are we living up to them?
Honesty, fairness, and diligence guide every decision. If it's not good enough for our family, it's not good enough for yours.
No price-gouging. No smoke and mirrors. Our partners and team deal fairly and with integrity—always.
Problems happen. We face them head-on, take responsibility, find solutions, and communicate clearly. That's how trust gets built.
Smart design, solid materials, real support. Our people are here to educate and deliver more value per dollar—not upsell fluff.
We treat GCs and trades like teammates, because they are. We win together when we build together.
We help families build equity through efficient homes that go up quicker and hold their value. That mission is bigger than any one kit.
