The Double D Ranch Comes to Life in Durant, OK
Lots of photos at the end of the post.
There’s something special about watching a dream take shape — and that’s exactly what’s happening right now in Durant, Oklahoma, where one of our most impressive barndominium plans, the Double D Ranch, is rising from the red dirt of Oklahoma..
This build is already turning heads, with the Red Iron structure fully erected and interior framing well underway. The photos say it all — clean lines, strong steel, and the kind of design that makes you want to pull up a rocking chair on the porch and stay awhile. One of the most popular kits, with customers in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Arkansas. (Here is where Ship Barndominium Kits)

Big, Bold, and Built for Oklahoma Living
The Double D Ranch Barndominium isn’t for everyone — and that’s precisely the point. With 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and a footprint that stretches 4,420 square feet of living space with the loft in the garage. This is a home for those who want to live large. It blends style, function, and rugged elegance in a package that’s as practical as it is jaw-dropping.
You’ll find a huge open living area, perfect for entertaining, relaxing, or just taking in the views through the indoor-outdoor bar space. There’s even a hidden gun room, because some things just don’t belong out in the open. The wrap-around porch ties it all together with that iconic barndo feel — a reminder that comfort doesn’t have to mean compromise.

A Shop That Works as Hard as You Do
Whether you’re a gearhead, a hobbyist, or you need space to get things done, this Oklahoma-built Double D Ranch delivers with a massive garage and shop area. There’s even an option to cool the shop with a mini-split, making it a comfortable workspace all year round. And if you’re looking to maximize your square footage, the optional loft above the garage adds even more flexibility.

Designed to be Built Anywhere in the USA
Like all of our barndominium kits, the Double D Ranch can be built almost anywhere in the country. We’ll make minor structural adjustments for areas with heavy snow loads, so you get a plan that works where you live, without compromising the design. A few local building codes may prohibit metal buildings as dwellings. Check with your county or city. We will be offering this in SIPs in 2025.
