The Double D Ranch is one of our most popular and recognizable barndominium kits—and for good reason. With bold rooflines, generous living space, and signature porches, it strikes the perfect balance between rugged function and modern comfort.

This summer, we’re building two separate Double D Ranch homes in Georgia—just 20 miles apart. The homeowners don’t know each other, but they both chose the same great plan to bring their dream homes to life. One of these projects is underway in Winder, GA, just outside Athens.

If you’re nearby and want to see the process in action, feel free to drive by the build site at 357 Cosby Rd, Winder, GA 30680. This version of the Double D Ranch will total over 4,000 square feet of heated living space, plus expansive covered porches—making it a perfect example of what this floor plan can become when fully customized.

This plan features dramatic rooflines with 23-foot eaves on the main living area and 20-foot eaves on the garage. The end result is a striking, spacious structure that feels open, tall, and impressive from every angle.

Once construction is complete, this home will look similar to the renderings below. Please note these are digital renderings, not actual photos—just a helpful way to show what a finished Double D Ranch can look like with white metal siding, full porches, and large windows throughout.
