About My Barndo Plans:
We design and deliver efficient, affordable home kits nationwide — from barndominiums to modern prefab homes. Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a Construction Manager who knows home building inside and out and can be the go-to person on-site and on the phone.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a sharp, hands-on Construction Manager to oversee the execution of residential home builds from delivery to completion. You’ll work closely with our clients and their General Contractors to keep everything on schedule and aligned with our standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between our clients, their builders, and our internal team
- Travel to job sites as needed to inspect progress, support GCs, and troubleshoot issues.
- Manage internal project timelines and hold everyone accountable for deadlines.
- Provide on-site or virtual support to ensure homes are being built according to our specs.
- Review site conditions, deliveries, and staging logistics
- Monitor project budgets and identify issues early.
- Create clear status updates and reports for internal and client teams.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in residential construction or home building (barndo/prefab experience a big plus)
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and materials
- Confident communicator, able to guide and support GCs in a professional way
- Willingness to travel regionally or nationally to support builds (10–40% travel)
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Problem-solver with a proactive mindset
Bonus If You Have:
- Experience working with cold-formed steel, red iron kits, or SIPs
We’ll train you on all three kit formats – but some experience is preferred. - Background in general contracting or project management
- Familiarity with permitting and inspections across multiple states
